Irish soda bread for this month.

I don’t pretend to be a premier bread baker (I’m not) but what I can do well is bake Irish soda bread. So long before I dove into attempting anything with yeast involved, I started baking and perfecting my soda bread recipe. (Maybe channeling my Irish great-great grammies from Sligo and Mayo in the process?) This year’s loaves---I can say with a full measure of pride---turned out quite well. The recipe I tend to use as my base is included. I brush melted butter and sprinkle brown sugar over top.
