November is the month for gratitude. I would be remiss if I didn’t wrap this month up without expressing mine. It is gratifying beyond measure to now have my second novel, Campbell’s Boy, out in the world.

Eleven years down the path from its start as a project, the struggle was real. I had worries it would never happen and that I would not do Emmet justice. I even felt it was an ancestral debt that I owed, that I needed to tend to.

Of course, the gratitude extends to all who helped make this so and they are acknowledged in the book forever.

As with any writer and her stories, my hope is that Emmet’s tale will resonate with at least one reader. If that can happen, I will consider it a job done.
