In the last month of this year, I learned about rose quartz. I learned about it in the hardest way possible: at a funeral for someone far too young to exit this play we call life.

A bowl of rose quartz was on offer to the mourners to take one as a token of  love and remembrance. I have my piece now on my writing desk and will keep it there. 

Rose quartz represents the crystal for unconditional love and also, some think, offers a portal to the other world...
