Recipe for a book trailer = music + mood + meaning

It's super challenging to capture all of this. The essence of the story needs to be pinned down in a minute or less to be effective. How can that be done?

For Bottled Secrets of Rosewood, I had to think of my biggies and then capture footage of them. I experimented a lot and the majority of clips were left on the cutting room floor. That’s okay because, along the way, it led me to the winners, i.e. those essential parts that convey the story.
